No one can argue with the original Mini’s immaculate handling and, in its day, the ageing A-series engine was powerfull enough to see it win a number of international rallies. But while the handling remains impeccable even by today’s modern standards, few would disagree that the A-series is now under powered and hugely expensive to tune.
